Adriane Howell is a writer and arts worker from Melbourne. She graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing. She was also co-founder of the literary journal Gargouille.

Her debut novel, Hydra (Transit Lounge), was released August 2022. It was shortlisted for the 2023 Stella Prize; the 2023 Readings New Australian Fiction Prize and the biennial 2024 South Australian Literary Awards, National Awards for Fiction.

She is represented by Martin Shaw of Shaw Literary.
